I saw that last night. Doctors told her it was nothing but allergies. It’s amazing she survived and was not left with no functionality in her brain.

Reminds me of a man who had pain in his leg. Doctor looked at it, no x-ray, said it was gout in the knee. Put him on meds that did nothing. ER exam showed three sewing needles in his leg. His wife whom I worked with had been sewing on the couch. Dog jumped up, she cleaned up and hubby lay down to watch television. He thought the pain was arthritis.

The original doctor was an old friend, past retirement, but kept working. He sold his practice after that error.

Malpractices rates are six figures a year. These two cases lend credence to the high rates.
