What do you mean it had nothing to with Trump? He worked with the Trump Campaign, working with Rick Gates and Paul Manafort while he was working with an international law firm. He lied to the FBI during the Mueller investigation, and intentionally hid documents from them. He attempted to cover up crimes Gates and Manafort took part in.
This has everything to do with Trump and the Trump campaign.
