Check the house foundations and make sure nothing has cracked, any thing precious that's on a shelf secure it, even bluetac is enough for minor rumbles. Drink bottles or boiled water for a few weeks. In NZ they just ignored them - I remember being in a bar in Wellington and the earth started moving - People just picked up their drinks so they didn't spill and carried on talking about whatever - They didn't even mention it - It was my first so I was screaming like a little girl and trying to get under the table -
