I find this extremely hard to believe but yesterday i wanted to buy some mustard. Its made with red port wine and has an alcohol content of less than 4.5%. Its expensive shit but i like the taste and use it on cuban sandwiches which i love. Anyway i placed the order and within a few minutes got an e-mail to say the order was cancelled. See below

Some of our mustards are made using white wine, rather than vinegar, and so contain a small amount of alcohol. The total alcohol content of these mustards is between 0.5% and 4.5%. Some States have regulations that prevent us from selling these items to customers located in those States. Since your order contains one or more of these products and your chosen shipping state was Maine, your order has had to be cancelled.

Fucking stupid law and all so they (Maine ) can get their few penny's of tax ? I got around it by having it sent to friends in California, which does not seem to have a similar law. And they are forwarding it on to me in a plain brown box.

The strange thing is i regularly get cases (12 bottles) of wine delivered from California, Vegas, Texas and even France and Italy without any issues, delays or duty ?
