We are told that the Icebergs melting will cause the oceans to rise. Correct?
That somehow...ice in the ocean turning back into water causes higher water levels.
And yet...if I take a glass of ice and water and fill it to the very rim and then let the ice melt: The glass does not overflow.
Turns out the ice has the same mass after it melts as it did when it was ice.
So how does ice melting cause the ocean to rise? What am I missing here?

I'm no expert but Greenlands ice sheet is not an iceberg floating in the ocean but sits on land. If it were to entirely melt it is estimated to raise oceans worldwide by 24ft.
