The painting was not destroyed. It was just damaged (fortunately). I don't know if it was a real one of a reproduction (both versions are possible). But the museum has estimated the damage as a half of million rubles (about $8200 USD) and (fortunately again) it will be recovered... or if it was just a reproduction, it will be replaced by the new one - I don't know.
As about that guy... He was not drunk because as he says, he has drunken 100 grams of vodka, which is almost nothing for an adult male. I think he is just a psycho.
