Its freaking cool how China is able to build a city, and then populate it, its also cool how they are experimenting with urban design and pulling down earlier USA style ghetto complexes and replacing them with more modern energy effective and people friendly planning... which is what your seeing in that video.
Ordos Kangbashi which was one of the most reported "Ghost Towns", of course now is a bustling city of more than 2 million people, like most new areas in China, its built first.. then people move in, from what I understand its more to do with their investment laws than anything. It would be like living at the new Apple Head quarters but on a city size scale, with all new infrastructure.
The new forest city under construction looks awesome, will be a good experiment.
