Course not. People earn billions of dollars here as a cash in the envelope and spend it in the UK, Cyprus, USA etc. So nobody knows the real amount. Nobody pays taxes from that. Nobody pays taxes from real estate renting. Nobody pays taxes from taxi services etc. What the Russian the GDP should be calculated from? In the UK even the prostitution money is included into the GDP. Do you know how many 10's of thousands of prostitutes work just only in Moscow? Do you know how much they charge per hour? Do you know the amount of bribes they pay to police? Do you know that Russian oil and gas companies do 20% bribes (откаты) to their partners and to the officials? These are billions, billions and billions of dollars and nobody counts them to include into the GDP. Your official salary is 20,000 rubles but you receive 200,000 in the envelope. In cash. So Russian GDP does mean nothing. It's some fake number taken from the Putin's moth.
Yes, this is a corruption and thievery, but the GDP has no relation to the Russian economics at all.
This is a good song, which says it all about Russia today. We have a low GDP, but our citizens have bought the most expensive realty in London, Dubai, Miami Beach etc. Some violin players have two billions of dollars (2 billions of USD, do you understand it, Karl?) in South America etc. That's because the money here is "black" and it's not included into GDP. Yes again, it's called a corruption.
