I give it a 6/10, probably the best of the Disney Wars movies. However, it still had plenty of flaws and is probably best enjoyed by those who don't know Star Wars very well.
Spoilers ahead.
Overall, Solo has pretty good action sequences and interesting worlds. Lando was believable. Otherwise, it felt miscast. It was hard for me to get into Alden Ehrenreich as Han. He doesn't look, sound or act like the original. He would be fine as a new character but it seems like there was little effort in continuity. Emilia Clarke, just like in Game of Thrones, continues to be a weak actor. Woody Harrelson in space? A love robot L3 that sounds a lot like Phasma? Paul Bettany as a claw faced bad guy?
The whole plot revolves around a couple of attempts at boosting highly valuable fuel in various forms. Bad dudes, gangs and double-crosses abound. I got tired after the umpteenth double-cross and just wanted it to wrap up. I didn't like how they handled Chewie (basically a murdering Rancor monster in a pit?), or the 12 parsec Kessel run with crazy space monsters. After all that work, they simply hand over the goods to a budding rebellion and walk away with a few credits. The female eel monster (Proxima) in the beginning was just goofy.
There were fun cameos from Clint Howard (who must appear in every Ron Howard movie) and Warwick Davis (who first appeared as an Ewok). Darth Maul's appearance at the end is puzzling because he should be dead. But, apparently the cartoons explained his top half survived. Ha!
