Sounds like Daytona.. We used to have spring break for a few weeks in a row then black college reunion. There were of course lots of cops around for the spring breaks but during BCR half the shops and hotels would shut down for that week and they had at least double the cops vs what they had for SB.
The year they moved the event to Maimi, I didn't think much about it, but I had to run up to the store that 1st Sat morning. I drove up A1A and the road was like a ghost town but there was probably 200 cops over a 3 mile section of road.
It was surreal there was 3 cops cars at every side street blocking them off and cops standing on both sides of the road every few hundred feet. Was insane and I was a bit worried something was happening and why were they just letting me drive by.
Wasnt till later, I found out they brought in all the normal police forces they'd use for the event, just in case they came to Daytona instead of going to Miami
