Of course not, that's not how virtue signaling works.
As usual, they'd quietly ignore that conversation and all the obvious contradictions which would arise in any cursory examination of the conflicting viewpoints.
... just as they get status among their peers for pretending to care, they can also lose status among for caring in the wrong way about the wrong things and at the wrong time.
