Trump doesn't want to go to Canada today.
Trump is used to negotiating in a boardroom where there is two sides and only two sides, both of who want to do business together. This is not how it works in the world of politics or international trade. In politics you have thirty-two different groups, all of who have different agendas and different wants and needs. International trade is an entirely different beast. We put a tariff on one product (or ten products) from another country, this hurts their citizens, and they respond with tariffs of their own. A tariff on steel and aluminum is only going to hurt American businesses and American citizens. The price of cars will go up, including trucks; Now it will cost more for them to buy trucks and their trailers which means higher transportation prices for all of us.
People like Robbie and his followers are insane, claiming this is all part of a "negotiating tactic". Pissing off ALL of your trading partners is hardly a "negotiating tactic".
The "great negotiator" has yet to negotiate a single deal for us.
Suddenly "America First" has become "America Only".
