Why only 30%, why not 100% of them?
Dude I live in Russia and I see the people around and I've been to the USA. I don't need any stats, because I trust to my own eyes.

How many of them are fat? 1 on 50 maybe? Almost all of those fatties are old women who lived in the Soviet Union and ate almost the same shit you eat today. The new generation is well fit usually.
P.S. Obesity is an illness of poor people. Course we also have many people who can't afford normal food and eat fast food or other high-caloric shit like potatoes fried on pork fat, pies with jam etc. They eat it not because they like it and not because of some "national culture", but because they simply have no money for a healthy food.
