There are no moderate Muslims. Anyone who believes there is such a thing as moderate Islam knows nothing about the religion and has not read the Qu'ran which is actually quite horrific to read. Just swearing an oath of citizenship to a country is against Islam. Pledging allegience to anything other than Islam and Allah is against Islam. The logic they use to do it is that Islam allows them to lie, cheat and steal to advance Islam. Hence, lying is a normal part of most Arabic cultures.

The Qu'ran is 1/2 Old Testament and all the fire and brimstone and 1/2 "how to kill non believers". Only an idiot would read the Qu'ran and think "oh, there is nothing harsh here at all". Christianity is only moderate because a dude later came along as said "ok,... look, eat all the non kosher , non halal shit you want and just be good people and love each other" and the New Testament and it's new flexibility then began to fully overshadow the Old Testament. Islam is the Old Testament made more harsh and severe.

But "moderate Islam"?

There are only Muslims who follow the Qu'ran and teachings of Mohamed and Muslims who don't. There is no part of any of it that says "hey, this is open to your own interpretation and just kinda do what you want with it". And arguments about how strictly to do it is why Muslims have been slaughtering each other for 14 centuries.

So fuck off Bladewire. No actual Muslim anywhere is ok with you being Gay. They are explicitly taught to not be OK with you being gay. They are required to give you 3 chances to change and then kill you.... "throwing you from the highest place" or however that section is phrased.

Islam teaches that any non Muslim is a second class citizen. Being Gay in Islam puts you quite a few notches below second class citizen. But don't let reality get in the way of a good story... or all the bodies hanging from cranes in Iran or people being thrown off buildings for being gay in the middle east.
