My way of thinking suggests that Manafort is already likely going to prison for life and if he had something to tell he'd have told it by now - how much pressure does he need? The guy is 69 years old! Is he hoping to get out by 79 instead of 89?
Still, I am open to both possibilities - what is a FACT is that currently, this indictment has nothing to do with Trump.
Lots of people just like you - and YOUR views on Trump are normal and reasonable. And lucky for you, as I'm sure you know, the Senate will not be impeaching the President.

I'm of the opinion that in November the Democrats will take back the house, but not the Senate. Even if Mueller returns his report and it claims Trump did things that might warrant impeachment the Senate will not move forward. Even if the Democrats win control of the Senate it will be a very small majority so they won't be able to move forward.
The only way I could see an impeachment actually happening is if the Mueller report includes something so grievous that there is no way for them to ignore it, but I don't think that will happen.
