It is horrible.
BUT...the media drug this out to try and make Trump look bad after his success at the Singapore summit.
It's so pathetic.
The reason I say that is...this has been a law since 2008.
President Obama's administration DID THE SAME DAMN THING.
That's the part the media isn't telling you about.
Obama's admin did the same thing for 8 years.
The Democrat politicians and their liberal media lackeys didn't say one thing about it then. Not one.
And by the way...all of us who actually ARE U.S. citizens...here's a reality check: If you get arrested, you won't be taking your kids to a detention center (jail) with you. You will be "separated".
And if you AND your wife are both arrested at the same time (like is happening at the border)...they will take your kids and keep them in a secure area (just like is happening at the border)
So here's the breakdown:
1. This is nothing new.
2. Obama did it too for 8 years.
3. They are saying that ILLEGAL ALIENS shouldn't be "separated" from their kids when they get thrown in jail...but actual U.S. CITIZENS can be without anyone complaining at all.
4. The REAL pieces of shit are the adults dragging their young kids across the border illegally. If it were any other crime being committed we would all be screaming how horrible these parent are for bringing their children along on their criminal endeavor.
But, but...it's all Trump's fault.
