I understand the argument that this will not stop them from trying it again and again, but to me, an improved immigration system and policy could help reduce those numbers greatly. I also wouldn't be opposed to some kind of three strikes system. There are plenty of ways to handle this is a reasonable and humane way. What Trump is doing is trying to make the situation as ugly for those illegals as possible so they won't be tempted to try it again. To me, using kids to threaten adults or prove a point is pretty cowardly.

I might disagree with you. I believe violating our borders is a very serious crime, which should require jail time. You get caught in the United States illegally instantly you get two years in jail. Children should be deported immediately back to the country they came from.
