you only see a part of the whole thing.
1. if goods are made in US the prosperity from the normal and poorer people will be far lower because they have to buy less for the money they have.
2. most of US exports are based on cheap imports of raw materials and parts what can easily be done with cheap wages. if this all will be made in US these exports will be too expensive to compete on the global market. means: this industries will be fucked also.
3. imports from countries like china are creating prosperity in this countries. how else can china fight back? they are one of the biggest buyers of US goods.
with WHAT should they pay it if they donīt sell?
4. trumpīs tradewar nobody will win. the whole world economy will be disturbed. but US debts are already that high that i donīt have a clue from what this losses will be paid?
5. on top of that trumps tax reform will bring anyway less money in the countries wallet.
lower wins (or losses) AND lower taxes - how should that work out ?
bush tried that game before and the result after just a few month was that 200.000 US-jobs got lost. so the experience and knowledge is already there - what will be different on trumpīs trade war except that the US-debt today is around 8 trillion higher as in the time of bush?
trump thinks he can go into a tradewar with the whole world but this rest of the world will union and make their own trading deals.
who will be the looser at the end ?
I think one donīt have to be Nostradamus to know the answer.
