especially people who did not vote for trump have seen in the last elections that the will of the majority of individuals (what is the basic meaning of democracy) is not taking place in this system.
you can ask many people in many other countries the question if they believe that they live in a democracy and the most will say yes.
actually only 4,4% of the world population is living in a 100% democracy according the democracy index. I think one of the major problems in US is that nobody without a lot of money and many lobby connections can ever be a POTUS.
in most cases the biggest bandits of all have the biggest chance to get elected as you see perfectly at the moment where the wrongest available person made it.
