simple statement of fact. which he was careful to clarify as they continue to attempt to lie about it.... you can't sneak across the border illegally, children in tow and then... once you get caught, request asylum and not expect to have to deal with crossing the border illegally and all its consequences.
you can request asylum at any embassy or consulate or any port of entry. you don't cross illegally with a legitimate claim for asylum. you won't be detained or separated from your "child" for processing. you certainly don't have to pay human traffickers to try to sneak you across the Arizona desert.... and above all, you don't need to risk the lives of your children in the desert to do it.
but as usual, lets not let obvious, indisputable facts get in the way of a little feigned and manufactured outrage and a couple weeks of virtue signaling
