ok you are using the word spite wrong for starters... second 'dems' can't veto anything. Only the president has veto power. Democrats don't even have the majority right now so they can't even block much at all specifically either. Unless you are talking about the judiciary system? But that is not really politically motivated as it is legally. Much like the supreme court what flag they are waving matters not compared to the letters of the law. We saw an example of this last week with the vote on the country travel ban. Most of its members were against the reasoning for it but legally that decision could be made by the president according to them. Close vote, but tough decision.
Your country is run on something a lot bigger than a sole political party. This is a good thing. Once you step away from the team sports mentality the bigger picture becomes more clear. One side does not differ much from the other and this good vs evil debate is purely imagined. Stop perpetuating the divide...
