Mcveigh sought revenge against the government for waco. koresh was a child rapist who made money making guns to support his lifestyle. Randy Weaver just wanted to be left alone and was actually set-up by the ATF/FBI to make those sawed off shotguns. Ruby ridge location was simply by happenstance located close to an Aryan Nations enclave and they all crossed paths, nevertheless, Weaver and his family just wanted to be left alone.
bladewire also points out an important point, the one things mass shooters have in common.
but these guys are so far more extreme than some little old lady in Wisconsin who voted for trump. You're not going to win over anyone pointing your finger at her and yelling she's a nazi just like tim mcveigh.

You are talking about guys who were far right long before the Tea Party & Trump era of crazy. Those guys would seem tame by today's standards of crazy that has become the radical right. Tim Mcveigh as example was radicalized by the Militia anti govt far right which was the crazy far right before the Tea Party movement made it mainstream.. The far right has now drifted into the whole white supremacist anti govt stuff.
I agree Randy Weaver was likely set up, but he was associating with the white supremacist guys. It wasn't just random encounters but it's also not like he was a full fledged member either.
