Kim Jong Un is sitting in a position right now where he could go down as one of the great NK leaders. To do so he could cut a deal with the US to get rid of his nukes in exchange for some premium subsides from the US. They get cash and we (along with SK and others) give them guidance on their economy. He closes down the work camps and stops the crazy marshal law type ruling and brings in capitalism. Make trade deals with SK, China, Japan, the US and anyone else who wants their natural resources and they could quickly become a nation where the people have a good life, they have a strong economy and live in peace.

Of course, that would mean giving up his seat as dictator and his nukes so I doubt he would ever do it, but it is there for the taking.
