I like you, Ross. You've always been reasonable. You also helped me once in 2009 or so, with a pimproll issue and I appreciated it. I seriously have no idea what the above means?

But i can clarify some things about what my beliefs are

1) I know i'm Conservative.
2) I know that political bias colors my perspective on events.
3) I don't particularly care about politics or arguing politics.
4) What fascinates me more are the irrational behaviors of all involved.
5) I don't think Trump is good. I don't think Trump is bad. I don't think Trump is right. I don't think Trump is wrong. I just don't believe it matters.

What I personally believe in is the overall balance which naturally tends to occur. Though someone biased towards the liberal point of view would never agree, I would simply say that Trump is the polar opposite of Obama. Obama was the polar opposite of Bush. Bush one was the polar opposite of Clinton. Clinton was the polar opposite of Reagan and so on and so on and so on. There's nothing unexpected either in personalities or behaviors.

Following Trump will be... of course, someone believed to be the polar opposite of Trump.

Of course there should be opposition. That leads to discussion and debate.

But we don't have that anymore and your Canadian colleges as well as Europeans are just as big a part of the problem as anyone with the non-stop hysteria. Of course everyone was all too happy when "Their guy" won a Nobel Peace Prize in spite of having done nothing at all and who shortly after stepped up airstrikes, drone attacks and the wiping out of Pakistani and Afghani wedding parties.

Opposition is not "hysterical ranting and raving". Opposition was intended to be "here's a better plan" or "your plan lacks XY and Z but here is how we can make it better". Thats the primary benefit of opposition.

We don't have that anymore. Europeans. European media. Canadians. Canadian media and nearly all US media are driving the world right off a cliff with non stop biased news coverage as they draw their final breaths, succumbing to the internet and the fact that they no longer have a monopoly on "the truth". They have to head more and more down the path of catering to the fringe with sensationalistic bullshit rather than just tell the truth.

Remember what jounalism used to be Glen? Remember when all they had was their credibility? Remember all the talk of ethics? Remember how they used to be detectives, risking their lives to report the truth? We haven't had that since Obama came into office. Now, we have dickheads like a CNN anchor (Acosta) heckling Kim Jung Un and Trump as they discuss ending the Korean war.

(SIDE NOTE: Fox News has subtly changed their formatting to capitalize on this new reality. They don't say "fair and balanced" and when they have panels, they balance it out with conservative/liberal voices)... and they're quietly destroying CNN and MSNBC as they pursue the path of chasing a shrinking viewership by pumping out more and more emotionally charged bs each day). I mean, Fox News is literally crushing MSNBC and CNN right now by dialing back the rhetoric and actually reporting the news as it should be reported. Check the ratings)

Look at the front of GFY. Look all the stupid threads hating "Trump". Is the intent to come up with a better way? A better plan? A consensus on a better path forward?

Of course not.

It looks like the behavior of a spoiled 13 year old girl whos always got her way and then suddenly had her phone taken away.

And here's a simple test of where we're at.

You can tell me right now, 1,000,000 reasons to hate Trump.
You can't tell me right now, what the Democratic platform is. What they stand for. What legislation they're proposing for their constituents. Who the likely candidate will be for 2020. You can't name a single legislative achievement.

To me, it's that gross imbalance that is the problem.

It's the vocal minority, acting like children and doing so with the full complicity of the media that is the problem.

It's that gross neglect of what matters in favor of name calling and non stop petty "I didn't get what I wanted in 2016, so I'm willing to burn the country and everyone in it to the ground" behavior.

I'm personally fine at this point with saying "You know what?! We're out. No UN, no NATO,... no embassies and bases, No aid. No loans. No helping refugees. No more immigrants unless you have a degree and $250,000.00 USD in your packet (similar to Australia) We'll just fortify our own border and the whole world can fuck off".
