We don't care who he banged, and personally I don't care who a president bangs. What's important is that it looks like he lied about it to the whole world on national TV, and, if he has lied about this, what else has he lied about? And did these payments break the law which is probably even more important. Considering all the accusations and lawsuits against him, this is pretty important .

That's right. The issues are: Did he lie about it when he said as president that he had know knowledge of these payments, and did he violate campaign finance laws when those payments were made? Remember the payment to Stormy Daniels was done just a short time before the election.
