Yes, that is true on the economy.
But the part that CNN conveniently left out is: The economy started ROARING the minute Trump was elected just off of the relief that business owners felt.
Trump promised something BIG. He promised to rescind ALL of Pres. Obama's executive orders concerning the economy.
CNN didn't mention that Pres. Obama had ZERO big legislation passed in Congress except ObamaCare (because from 2010 to 2016 Congress blocked ALL of Pres. Obama's ideas).
So Pres. Obama did things via Executive Order.
Trump got rid of ALL of Pres. Obama's economic policy's in his first week in office.
Which unleashed the U.S. economy.
That's the reason that Pres. Obama doesn't get any credit. His policy's held the economy back when it should have been in a big recovery stage after the bailouts.
I know that liberal economists are all over CNN and MSNBC saying the opposite. But that's just politics.
I'm talking straight up business here.
The reason the economy is doing so well are the actions that Trump has taken...including tax cuts. It's a big package of things. But the kickoff to the whole thing was the first week when Trump began rescinding (and erasing) everything that Pres. Obama did.
The only "big legislation" that Pres. Obama ever had was ObamaCare. And that was the only thing he did via legislation in his first two years.
CNN and MSNBC praised him like he was Jesus for that ONE big legislative accomplishment.
Then when Trump has one big legislative accomplishment...they describe it as his "only" one.
Huge difference in how they approach the story.
Just like now...he meets with the Chairman of the EU and The EU negotiates with him to achieve the fair trade that he wanted.
In other words...the threat of tariffs did exactly what President Trump wanted to accomplish.
But CNN? They had front page headlines on their site that Trump "blinked" and had somehow lost the negotiation! WTF world are they living in? That's just a plain out lie.
The U.S. and EU are now negotiating fair trade that will be beneficial to both entities...which is EXACTLY what Trump stated in the news conference and what he promised during the campaign AND what he has said over and over and over was the stated goal of the threat of tariffs.
Even today I watched CNN and they had Adam Schiff on. And he blatantly lied by saying that Pres. Trump had "asked" the Russians to "hack" Hillary during the campaign.
Trump was in the middle of talking about how Hillary had all of her govt. emails on her private unprotected server and how it was illegal and how she now had deleted ALL of them after being subpoenaed for them. Then he said ""Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing."
And he went on to say that Russia, China, North Korea and every one of our adversaries had probably already hacked that server (which turned out to be true).
So he NEVER asked "Russia" to "hack" anything. He was pointing out the danger of Hillary and her illegal server.
But the CNN host did NOT correct Schiff. She just sat there and shook her head "yes".
Which is LYING to the people and fake news.
It's that kind of shit that keeps people ON Trump's side. When we see this blatant double standard happening...it makes Trump supporters defensive.
That's why I am saying that CNN and MSNBC and The New York Times and Washington Post dishonest and biased coverage of President Trump will get him re-elected with ease in 2020.
They are doing his work for him by keeping his base energized. Hate and divisiveness is not going to win the election for the Democrats.
They need to be able to have IDEAS.
And what are they going to campaign on? Will they be against the great economy? Or will they campaign to RAISE our taxes?
They are in a tough spot.
