It's called "Tall Poppy Syndrome" in Australia. If you brag a lot and are full of yourself or full of hot air etc, no matter what your nationality, you're a "tall Poppy" and need to be cut down. It usually applies to the stereotypical "loud American" like Trump & British who are the same. No joke.
