You did the right thing to get SSL. Make sure your browser shows a green lock on all your pages.
My understanding is Google views a site with https as a totally different site than the http version. So probably your site is being re-indexed and re-ranked as though its a new one. It may take time for traffic to propagate back to where it was. And after that, it should in theory begin increasing past its former highest levels.
Without SSL, how many people are going to fight with their browser in order to view your site? Some, maybe. But for most people, its too easy to just click elsewhere.
Also, check your CPanel metrics to make sure your site hasn't been limited recently. If it has, it means a certain amount of people are experiencing extended wait times to connect to your site. If the wait is more than 3 seconds, some people will continue to wait. But most people will lose interest and click elsewhere. The solution is to upgrade your hosting.
As for sales, there will always be peaks and valleys. It depends on so many variables, like the frequency of people's paychecks, bills/rent/payments becoming due. People can get tired of, or have a falling out with models who they used to tip, and seek fresh meat. People often take breaks from CTB for a while, until that urge hits them again.
Hang in there.
