QAnon pro Russia & Pro Trump conspiracy driven Russian active measure, just like the anti Clinton & anti Podesta conspiracy based Russian active measures from 2014-2016.

If it was the GOP it would be pumping up Trump's "success" with the economy, jobs, "keeping us safe" etc. The GOP doesn't want anything to do with Russia in promoting Trump.

QAnon is aimed at gearing up dissidence for the 2020 elections more than the 2018 midterms and their evolution is to become more "in person" and "real" to give it more relevance than the previous movement. They are doing this with their QAnon physical coin, billboard signs, upcoming merch, stickers & graffiti in suburbs and cities, etc. So impressionable people can see and feel the "movement" IRL than just as a conspiracy web online.
