As of this year, the only good thing left about Yahoo was their e-mail service.
And then, someone at Yahoo came up with a brilliant idea which was akin to "hey lets take a gun, point it at our head, and pull the trigger."
They announced (and pretty much forced users to agree to) a new term of service for using their e-mail. All incoming and outgoing e-mails would be monitored, examined for marketing purposes, sold to whoever (with Yahoo getting the money, not users), and archived forever. All of this with no regard to users' privacy, e-mailed passwords, names, addresses, fuck-all.
Thus, the last good thing about Yahoo turned into no good thing about Yahoo. Instead of agreeing, people closed their accounts and left in droves. What's left of Yahoo is a ghost town and a sinking ship. So hearing this recent event about their fucked up pages comes as no surprise to me.
RIP Yahoo.
