Let me clear what i meant by SEO point of view ? when you host lots of videos on your server then many websites will start hot-linking them, if you upload quality videos then exposure will increase rapidly , apparently, Google will notice that and your site will be benefited.
i have seen many sites got higher ranking and lots of traffic by uploading popular videos and many websites start hot-linking to them
