You know it was Manafort's defense team that requested two different trials?
And it has nothing to do with "Russian interference" and certainly nothing to do with the Trump campaign or President Trump.
They're just charging him with failure to register as a foreign agent (from Ukraine, not Russia).
It's apparently just a paperwork fuck-up that is very rarely ever prosecuted.
Again, I have no love for Manafort.
But I can recognize a politically-motivated witch hunt when I see one.
