The entire Trump organization is being investigated. This includes both the Trump Foundation, as well as the company itself. They will be looking into everything.
If Trump resigns in the morning, this doesn't go away. We aren't having an investigation to get Trump to resign. We are having an investigation because crimes have been committed. The more we investigate, the more we find.
We had a dozen investigations into Hillary and found nothing. We have one investigation into Trump and we have dozens of people indicted, and eight or nine of them are now felons.
