A lot of sites that have those sub-$5USD trials will almost certainly auto-rebill at the regular 30-day monthly rate (or higher) and some controversially have pre-checked cross-sales. Also factor in that most users are going to sign up in order to access a very small # of images/videos. Very few users (in my experience at least) can be classified as heavy users. Also some sites with trials have them limited to streaming-only, can only access last few updates, can only access first scene of movie, etc.
