I've been of the political opinion that our Federal Govt. is too big since I was old enough to vote. And that was in 1980. The govt. was tiny compared to what it is now. And doesn't seem to have any end in sight to it's growth.
I really don't think we should have a Federal Govt. that is the size it is. But it seems that we can't even slow down the growth...much less STOP the growth...and now way in hell to REVERSE the growth and shrink the thing.
That was really the only thing I was thinking in this conversation.

I guess we all have our GFY side, especially in controversial subjects like these.
We don't disagree on the government being bloated and some amount of federal employees being over-compensated, I get that those are huge problems that need to be addressed.
I don't see that withdrawing this planned raise is fair to those who were promised it, especially when trump stated it's on account of serious economic conditions. As kane and you pointed out, trump claims the economy is doing fantastic. Makes it even worse.
