Southern California native, Christy Taylor Barnes is the President of Oxymoron Entertainment, Inc. Barnes is responsible for supervising the company's overall administration, business affairs, legal and financial transactions, and oversees human resource activities. Over a decade ago, Barnes joined Christopher Mallick where she supported the businessman in managing and restructuring day-to-day operations for multiple fast-growing companies.
Barnes graduated with a BA in Business Law from Concordia University. Upon graduation, Barnes worked in the Insurance Industry where she also received her California State Insurance License. After leaving the Insurance Industry, Barnes was one of the first employees of entrepreneurial Internet incubator, Think Tank, where she was responsible for new business procurement and development. In 2001 Barnes joined Paycom.net, working directly with Christopher Mallick. She was responsible for managing the day-to-day affairs of the CEO for a $100+ million, fast growing Internet billing company. In 2009 Barnes was involved in the creation of Stereo D, a dynamic 3D conversion company with Christopher Mallick, Giovanni Ribisi, and William Sherak, where she managed all aspects of the high growth business that dominates the 3D conversion space in the entertainment industry. In 2011, Barnes assisted in the sale and negotiation of the company to Deluxe Entertainment.
