The reason probably relates Dunning-Kruger Effect. People who tend to think they are always right are either borderline personality disorder, narcissist, or both. It is there ego's reaction to fear of being exposed, they can't even be honest with themselves, they actually believe they are right because they filter the facts that they are willing to perceive.
