Need A Script

I used to have a script to check sponsor sites. I’d add the site URL to the database and weekly I’d run the script. It would land on a website I added and check if the join page was operational. Too often sponsors pull sites without notification.

If it redirects to another URL, I’d need to know that.

Report lists URL, whether join page is active, inactive, unreachable, redirecting or something else. Report is emailed to me and another address set up just to get reports.

I’ll need an add-in page where I add site name, sponsor, URL and niche. IF the reports can be seen in a browser, too, that’s great but not mandatory. I forgot my coding skills but if it generates online, I’m assuming you can add emailto: as well.

I didn’t look for such a script or one you could modify. Right now this is for personal usage but if you want to market it, it needn’t be exclusive to me.

I’m not looking for a massive script doing tons of processes. Simple, inexpensive and easy to use is wanted. I was thinking of adding an automatic backup of the database but I think cPanel has that.

Oh, lastly, I’m not sure if I’m going to put this on a current domain or a new one just for my script. I’m in the planning stages of the site where I’ll put index.html as a blank page but under a sub directory /sitechecker I’ll put the script. I’ll password protect the script but I have a script for that with retrieval options. If they hack it, I’ll have a backup of db and site pages. No one can do much with the content of a site checker, right?
