protein is a must...you eat it or you die eventually...the insulin with protein is "fixed insulin" if you will...there is no way around this...of course you can eat meats that spike insulin less...but still protein is a must...it is what it is...
whether you eat carbs on the other hand is your choice...high gi vs low gi intake ratios are critical to regulating "variable insulin", the insulin you CAN control...avoiding fructose is a no brainer here...

gluconeogenesis is not a problem with "fattier meat"...also if you avoid bad carbs you feel less hunger...leptin is not blocked...it is hard to over eat....
