NO argument in the world will change their mind and even Trump knows that when he said he can shot a child on the street and his supporters will not run away.
these people ARE idiots in my eyes - but not harmless idiots - they are dangerous same the idiots who believed in the 3rd reich.

I think you're right, friend. I like to believe the best of people, but if Trump supporters aren't convinced by now, after all that has happened, then you're right - it probably doesn't matter what I say.

I HAVE studied market economy and a master's degree in it and therefore I can better assess the economy. I don't expect every parking attendant to have the same knowledge, but it frightens me that these parking attendants simply ignore scientific facts from professionals.

This really frightens me also. I understand and respect that someone with an education like yours will be more knowledgeable - and It's great! People can learn and benefit from your knowledge. But you're right that they need to be willing to hear it.
This is especially scary with respect to climate change. There are so many in America who "don't believe" in climate change. But on what basis? They aren't scientists. The scientific facts don't require belief.

I'm not extremely experienced with Germany, but I did live in Berlin for a month, and I remember thinking that the Germans were very aware of the lessons of history and the importance of global cooperation.

It scares me to hear you say this, especially with your economics background, but I read articles every day warning that this crisis is coming - Brexit, the China Trade Wars, and the collapse of the economies of other nations (Turkey, Iran, South Africa, Argentina), are all factors I read about in these articles. Maybe you have more insight - it does seem like we're nearing a terrible time.

you will NEVER NEVER NEVER get to the point that it is actually about because your opposite is a reality denier.

What a difficult problem. How do you engage with someone who doesn't agree what is real as a starting point for discussion? Or someone who doesn't want to discuss? Thanks for your opinion.
