and ALL of that WITH REASON because the people working there are NOT idiots and have done things that nobody ever did before...you CAN be proud on that and the world will celebrate it with you !
now the SAME NASA tells the whole world the HUMAN MADE CLIMATE CHANGE IS EXISTING AND IN A CRITICAL PHASE - and now they are idiots?
do you understand what i mean when i call such a brain bonsai idiot?
another example is the past financial crisis.
the whole fucking world knows how it was caused and there is no doubt nowhere.
obama, against unbelievable resistance from rows of financial mafia and republicans, has passed a law that can at least have some regulatory effect to protect those who end up paying the bill: ordinary citizens.
trump overturned this law on the first day and received applause - not only from the financial mafia and the republican party but also from those who had to pay the last bill even though they were not to blame for the disaster?
idiots? yes 1000% idiots !
trump tells people that he is punishing china with duties and his followers are cheering?
only: who pays these duties? China? no !!! the american idiots but unfortunately not ONLY the idiots!

I think you are correct when you say Trump is a symptom and not the cause. For the last 40 years America has de-funded public education systems. When we do budget for schools, it is based off the taxes in the school area, so rich areas have good schools and poor areas have worse schools - and the distance gets wider all the time.
Democracy requires intelligent, well-informed citizens to work correctly, because it requires that citizens participate in political decisions. Some political issues are very complicated - issues of global finance and geopolitics - we need citizens who understand these difficult problems and can make informed choices.
In Italy, in the 1400s, when the founders of the Renaissance were trying to figure out how to implement democracy, they looked at the education system of the ancient greeks. The humanist education - rhetoric, logic, argument, communication - and they decided THIS is what makes democracy work. America needs this kind of citizen - well-informed, well-educated, intellectually curious. But it has starved its education system, and now we have adult citizens who can't discern reality from fantasy.
