Looking back at my past... I remember some parties, but not many details. I surely don't recall pinning any girl down and groping her against her will. But here is the thing - that person that did this doesn't remember it because it wasn't a big deal, but the person it happened to does remember it because it was a HUGE deal to them.
There are some things you can say "Oh, I was a kid then". But not sexually assaulting someone.

and also, that kind of thing disqualifies a person from being a Supreme Court Justice. It's a look into his character. Most revered, honored men walking around in the world didn't get there by being the kind of person who rapes women. Even if he did no more rapes or attempted rapes from that point up until now, it still disqualifies him.
You know a woman didn't say Neil Gorsuch tried to raped her? It's because he didn't try to rape anyone. If you're not being rapey, you won't get accused of it.
