Flake is very necessary. It is 48 For 47 Against. Flake, Collins, Manchin, Mikulski , and Heitkamp undecided.
The floor vote needs TWO of those for Kavanaugh to be confirmed. Flake will NOT vote yes without FBI. He is retiring. Manchin may vote for, but Heitkamp will probably not. That leaves Collins and Mikulski. If they supported Kavanaugh they would have said so. They have not. Doing nothing will not change their minds.
Right now, Kavanaugh is dead in the water unless Flake's demands are met. He is a loose cannon, no one knows what he wants. Probably to fuck Trump in the ass, literally.
