unfortunately not true.
this case is well known and i saw it many years ago in swiss TV news when the syrian civil war started.
this is also what makes the thing so complex and difficult because you can´t blame assad for the arab spring.
the arab spring is nothing else as a try of the west to destabilize the arabian oil countries (it did not happen in countries what doesn´t have oil).
but to blame NL or the EU for that is a real joke - we all know where that strategy came from and who enjoys the benefits from that.
this world is ruled by the big capital and not by governments. pharma, oil + energy, weapons and soon water.
