When you lie about basic facts that anyone can easily check, you just look like a pathological liar and people realize they should pay no attention to anything you say. and he knew he was lying. EVERY kid knows the drinking age in his state and when he was able to legally drink. Apparently, Kavanaugh never drank legally until he was 21. Which is fine...every kid has done it. But to lie about it in a Senate hearing is whole other matter.
People who aren't seeing the significance of these lies have their heads buried in the sand. The little lies matter. All of this stuff speaks to the man's character.
