you sound as if you are confusing democracy with a kingdom in which a wise king rules and who simply does everything right for everyone.
every member of the EU has elected his own representatives. if these are the wrong ones then you shouldn't blame the donkey for eating the flowers in the garden but the one who put him in the garden.
i think it's very funny when people who don't even understand the basics of democracy and are actually supporters of dictatorship get upset about a lack of democracy.
there is no british, german, french or dutch democracy. there is only the majority decision. and even if it were wrong you would have to live with it as a follower of democracy. democracy is the opposite of you because it is the opposite of egoism.

You're exactly right about what democracy is and i have no clue why you think I'd think otherwise by this thread. Examples democracy is non-existent in the EU:
- Dutch government and the EU should have lived with the democratic Dutch 'NO' vote against the EU constitution. But they chose to ignore democracy and push it through anyway.
- French government and the EU should have lived with the democratic French 'NO' vote against the EU constitution. But they chose to ignore democracy and push it through anyway.
- Irish government and the EU should have lived with the democratic Irish 'NO' vote against the EU constitution, now rebranded as the 'Lisbon Treaty'. But they chose to ignore democracy because the outcome was unwanted, so they just held a second referendum. Great tactic. Let the people constantly come to vote on the exact same thing so they don't believe in democracy anymore until it gets the desired outcome. A spit in the face of democracy.
- Dutch government and the EU should have lived with the democratic Dutch 'NO' vote against the EU treaty with Ukraine after EU's coup there. But they chose to ignore our democratic vote and push it through anyway.
The Brits voted 'NO' to stay in the EU. It's called democracy. If you don't like it, tough luck just live with it. But the EU is trying every trick in the book to not let them leave (blackmail is one of them). And May doesn't have the passion and the ambition herself to fully honor the vote, she's just another EU lacky. So it will probably be a half assed attempt, making the UK a shadow member of the EU while lying to the public that they're not in the EU anymore.
The democratic vote will not be honored, that's a guarantee. No vote of the people against the EU, in the history of the EU, has ever been honored and is always ignored. Fact. Which is the factual opposite of a democracy.
