It's true they target lower income levels with disposable income, but it is because that is the only large place left for expansion. They do not have to target current customers as much.
But, they have a multi-tiered advertising, if you pay attention to it all, not just the ones that the message rings in your head.
They target KIDS as well as any income level that hasn't the time or just lazy to cook on the go in their other adds. Not to leave out those fuzzy feeling ones to create a better image like good paying jobs and/or collage fund and other non-profit donations.
Some weird study I have had since high school...
I ask after every add... who is the message to and what exactly is the message and can I remember their name in the middle of the next commercial to know if it was effective.
Then ask yourself based on where the add was placed and the amount of money put on it toward you, how important it is to the message e'
Try it sometime ! Once you start, you can't stop and you will never look at them the same.
As well goes for political adds where you don't have to tell the truth, just pound a message into the head. Create a image.
