no it is a result of the EU and USA drying up their well and expecting them to not come and drink from ours...the EU brown noses the USA every chance it gets...your arguments would be valid if the EU fiercely opposed every USIS invasion and every CIA destabilization of their countries...
you can hermetically close all the borders with the EU and put armies to stop them, they will run to countries around the EU...then these countries, where the EU sells goods and services will collapse and you will feel it one way or another...there is no scenario where the USA gets to piss in our pool and you do not get the piss on you
