It was likely either a pay site program paying them to upload their clips or a webmaster paying them to upload clips watermarked with their cam white label.

If it's file lockers in question and not tube sites as nizter mentioned, file lockers pay for downloads so it make sense. Some tube sites do pays for views but very little compared to file lockers.
