This morning I had breakfast with a number of friends, one of which who brought his friend along. He was leaving today for a wedding in Washington DC. He made an odd comment that he "wants to punch Nancy Pelosi in the throat" while he was there. (I live in a red county in a blue state.) I found this comment to be vile. I don't like Trump, Paul Ryan, Mitch Mcconnell, etc, but I don't want to punch anyone in the throat no less cause anyone bodily harm.

At what point in time did this become an acceptable way to talk in public?
